Sprint will Sell High-End AM-OLED Samsung Phones
Sprint which is the No. 3 U.S. mobile service provider will sell Samsung phones with advanced AM-OLED screens — offering longer battery life and improved video and photo images — in the fourth quarter.
The Overland Park, Kan.-based carrier said it plans to introduce Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode, or AM-OLED, in its high-end phones for better video viewing.
“That’s typically more in a high-end phone,” said David Owens, Sprint’s director of customer acquisition. “It won’t be across the portfolio.”
