The update of WebOS strangely didn’t bring the long-awaited innovations to the Palm Pre. Thankfully, the folks at HomeBrew Software are not wasting their time, and their own software titled the Precoder is now in alpha state.</p>
<p>The program allows you to use your Palm Pre’s <strong>camera</strong> to record 480×320 video at 30 frames per second. There are various controls for the quality, and you can even use the phone’s flash for the videos as well. The program allows you to view recorded videos right from within it.</p>
